Free Podcast: Prepare for the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model

Learn How You Can Prepare For the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model

Hip and knee replacements are the most common inpatient surgery for Medicare beneficiaries. Beginning April 1, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will implement the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) model to improve care for these procedures. Will you be ready?

Find out what therapists need to know about CJR and how it affects them. Listen to Jerry Henderson reveal why CMS is focused on hip and knee replacements, and what technology and services PTs need to participate successfully in the new care model.

"With the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement program hospitals will receive incentives base on the cost of hospitalization, the surgeries and also on the post discharge for 90 days. Physical therapy costs will be part of this equation where they have never been before. All technology that can be utilized to assist patients in doing more of their rehabilitation independently is going to be critical long-term for the success of a physical therapist operating in this program."
